Frequently Asked Questions
What differentiates The Perfect Home Care from the competition?
Passion and compassion are the two key factors that separate The Perfect Home Care from the competition. We are passionate about going above and beyond to provide services that are unmatched in the industry. And we thoroughly screen all of our caregivers to make certain that they possess a level of compassion that makes them sensitive to the special needs of all our clients.
What type of in-home senior care do you provide?
We provide non-medical senior caregivers who perform such tasks as daily companionship, help around the house, light housekeeping, meal preparation, organization, daily reminders, doctor visits, and pet care, among other tasks. Our caregivers provide seniors with their daily living activities in their own homes, as opposed to assisted living facilities, nursing homes or moving in with relatives.
How do you screen caregivers?
All our caregivers go through a rigorous screening process. It includes face-to-face interviews, proficiency testing, criminal background checks, and reference checks. All caregivers are insured and bonded. All are legally able to work in the United States.
Why should I consider home health care for my loved one rather than an assisted living facility?
Home Health Care provides a more cost-effective, comforting alternative. What’s more, studies have shown that patients do better at home, both physically and psychologically.
Does The Perfect Home Care provide live-in care?
Yes. Indeed, live-in care is one of our specialties. For live-in care, we offer a flat-daily-rate, as opposed to the hourly rate we charge for our per diem clients.
Is live-in less expensive than assisted-living or nursing homes?
Yes, it is. Nursing facilities charge significantly more than the cost of live-care. What’s more, with in-home senior care, your loved one is in the comfort of their own home and surroundings.
What are your daily rates?
The Perfect Home Care’s rates are very competitive and very reasonable. Indeed, our rates are often lower than our competitors. Please contact us and we will review our rates with you.
What is your billing procedure?
The Perfect Home Care bills on a weekly basis, with payment due upon receipt each week. We require a one week deposit with all new service agreements. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards.
Is Medicare an option for payment?
No. Medicare is only generally available for nursing professionals who are needed after hospital stays. Most clients pay for our services with private funds or with long-term care insurance.
How much lead time is required for a caregiver to be placed?
The Perfect Home Care typically requests a minimum notice of two to three days to make a placement. It’s worth noting, however, that due to our large staff of caregivers, we have the potential to complete a placement within 24 hours.
Can the client or client's family meet the prospective aide prior to placement?
Yes. The Perfect Home Care will schedule meetings in the client's home.
Does The Perfect Home Care perform free in-home assessments?
Yes. We visit clients in advance of placing the caregiver to evaluate their special needs. This allows us to identify a caregiver best suited to meet the requirements of the client.
Why shouldn’t I hire my own caregiver privately?
That’s certainly an option, but doing so is fraught with complications. For instance, employing a caregiver on your own means you’re responsible for their payroll, taxes, liability, and workmens’ compensation. We take care of that.
Our caregivers are screened, tested, bonded and insured for your safety. They’re carefully interviewed and constantly trained. We hire only the best, most experienced caregivers. We check their references and complete criminal background checks on everyone. The result of all our screening is that every one of our caregivers has demonstrated an absolute passion for caring for the elderly.
What’s more, The Perfect Home Care has a large number of caregivers. That means we can easily provide back-up care if the primary caregiver unexpectedly becomes unavailable. As a result, your loved one will never be without care. Such backup service is not available when you hire a caregiver privately.
Is The Perfect Home Care an independent company?
The Perfect Home Care is a member of Companion Connection Senior Care, a national membership organization of non-medical home care agencies. All members have access to recognized experts in the field of home care, as well as the most current educational resources, which enable them to provide the highest level of care to their clients.
